Privacy Policy

Who we are

TVSays, a product of SooGi Group LLC, puts menus, price lists, specials and promotions on the TVs of local businesses, and makes updates for them when they text us. "We" here means SooGi Group LLC. This policy covers the TVSays website, app, TV screens and text messages.

What we collect

• Your account: your name, email address and role at each business. Your password is stored only as a one-way hash, so nobody at TVSays can read it.
• Your business: its name, locations, time zones and phone number.
• What goes on your TVs: menus, items, prices, descriptions, labels, pictures and videos that you or we add, and every published version of them.
• Texts and requests: mobile numbers saved for your team, the texts and photos sent to our number, the texts we send you, and the change requests and replies in the app.
• TV screens: when a paired TV checks in, its internet address, browser, screen size and clock time (so we can spot a TV whose clock is wrong).
• Security and history: sign-in attempts (to stop password guessing) and a log of who changed what and when.
• Cookies: one that keeps you signed in, and one on each paired TV that identifies the screen. We don't use advertising or tracking cookies.

How we use it

To run the service: show your menus on your TVs, make the updates you ask for, tell you when something needs your approval or is done, keep accounts secure, and fix problems. We don't use your information for advertising.

Text messages

We text the owners and managers of businesses that use TVSays, only about their own account: updates waiting for their approval, requests that are done, our replies, a welcome text when a number is saved, and confirmations when they text us. We do not sell or share your SMS opt-in data or personal information with third parties for marketing purposes. Mobile numbers are used only to send and receive the texts described here, and are shared only with our texting provider (Twilio) to deliver them.

Who we share it with

We don't sell personal information. We share it only with the companies that run the service for us (our hosting, database and texting providers), only so they can do that, and when the law requires it.

How long we keep it

While your business uses TVSays. Published menu versions and the activity log are kept as a record, so changes can be traced and undone. If your business stops using TVSays, ask us and we'll delete your business's data, except what the law requires us to keep.

Keeping it safe

Every business's information is kept separate in our database, so people only see the businesses and locations they belong to. Passwords are hashed, and sign-in is protected against guessing.

Children

TVSays is for businesses. It isn't meant for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information.
